Old Orchard II Sharks Swim Team

SHARKS

It’s with great excitement that we welcome back the 2024 Shark’s Swim Team Season.

We’re all looking forward to an awesome summer with our swim family community and we expect to have a fun filled season.

Sincerely,

Swim Team Board

Team History

The Old Orchard II Shark's swim team exists to provide a summer athletic activity for the children and teens of families of Old Orchard II. The team offers swim lessons for the beginning swimmer as well as stroke & turn clinics to help refine the skills of our more experienced swimmers.

Learn while having fun

Success is measured in smiles and swimming improvement.

The Sharks are one of four teams, which make up the Santa Clarita Swim League. The three remaining teams are the Old Orchard I Dolphins, the Valencia Hills Wave and the Summit Seals. The girls and boys on the team swim in separate events at each of our 3 dual meets and our championship meet.

Teen Club

Our team also provides a “Teen Club” which began in 1996 to encourage and reward our older swimmers for their participation.

The club offers an after-hours swim once a week from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM when only the teens can use the pool. Swimmers entering 7th grade in the fall are welcome. All teen club activities have adult supervision.

Little Sharks

The team also offers a “Little Sharks.”

This is a booster club to siblings of swim team members who are too young to swim or are just learning to swim. Membership includes an official tee shirt and participation in social activities.

Collin Gore

On July 4, 2017, Collin Gore lost his life in a horrible car accident, only 1 month after graduating from Hart HS and only 22 days after he turned 18 years old.

Every square inch of our unique facility is designed to improve learning, fun and safety for every child and parent who joins the Swim Academy family. This accident forever changed his family’s life and the lives of his friends and the Hart High School community. Due to the generosity of the Santa Clarita Community and the friends and relatives of Collin’s, The Collin Gore Memorial Foundation was created in his honor.
