Meet Our Qualified Swim Instructors
Our program has highly qualified swimming instructors. They all have one thing in common: a passion for the sport and a unique and caring approach to children.
By combining their passions and skills, they have a deeper insight and can look at various situations or problems comprehensively and effectively.
Head Coach
Hillary
Hillary began her swimming career with the Sharks at the tender age of 3 years old! She continued to swim every summer until she aged out at 17 and became a Career Shark. When Hillary wasn’t swimming she played soccer (since the age of 5) for both her club team and Hart JV for her freshman and sophomore years. Her last 2 years at Hart she joined Hart Swim and swam for both JV and Varsity and was chosen to be Co-Captain of the Varsity team. At 14 she was a Junior Coach for the Sharks and then at 16 became a lifeguard at our clubhouse pool. Hillary is known for her enthusiasm and was awarded “Most Inspirational” swimmer at the awards banquet during the 2017 season. She is very excited to be back with the Sharks to work with all the kids and to share her love of the sport. She will continue her love of water while studying English and Communication at UC Santa Barbara.
Assistant Coach
Sydnie
Sydnie started her swimming career at the age of 6 for the Old Orchard Sharks. She enjoyed it so much that she joined Canyons Aquatics and moved up to become a JO swimmer. She swam all 4 years for Hart Swim and was awarded the Coaches Award her senior year. Sydnie was a Junior Coach until she aged out of the Sharks at 17 as a Career Shark where she still holds several records and was awarded the coaches Sharky Award. She is currently studying at a Cal State University.
